I have not found time to complete any original posts this week as I have been compelled to devote most of my time to earning a living. I have, however, managed to read some thought-provoking blog posts and I would urge those of you with wonky inclinations to search them out.
Those (few) of you who have been following this blog know that I am a fan of Josh Barro. His recent posts on The Ticker at the Bloomberg View site have been particularly crisp- well-reasoned and clearly presented. Check them out here for a well-argued center-right position.
Another conservative whose writings I find intriguing is Bruce Bartlett. His blog post in today's New York Times offers a concise description of the differences between the Republican and Democratic positions on cutting Federal spending.
Some of you may have witnessed last night's face off between Paul Krugman and Joe Scarborough on The Charlie Rose Show. (I opted for well-needed sleep.) One take on the opposing positions is presented by Joe Weisenthal at the Business Insider site.
OK- have to stop slacking and surfing on company time.
