Fear, and The Grand Plan

10/24/12 | by nicasaurus | Categories: Public Policy & Economic Policy

Pondering the motivational power of Fear.  Anecdotal evidence suggests that Fear mangles our thought processes,  causing us to replace rational action with irrational reaction. Case in point: The political class in our country has quite effectively fostered a climate of Fear of the increasing National Debt, the consequences of which point to a dystopian future. (I can actually visualize Manhattan in "Escape from New York". )  I intend to examine this in some depth in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, I will sip some tequila and wait for the elections to come and go.
